From the start...

Mission Helping Hands was formed by Sheila Cochrane in 2008 (gaining Charitable status in 2009), following trips to Uganda and Kenya. Sheila visited a wonderful lady called Evas Kurama from Kanungu (Diocese of Kinkiizi), SW Uganda.

Evas, the Mothers Union Coordinator, had a vision to teach the young women who had not been able to finish their education, some practical skills.

Seeds were sown as Sheila caught hold of that vision and her passion was released to serve these wonderful people.

Through God the Mothers Union Vocational centre (MUVC) was birthed. There is now fruit growing from that seed, giving people a hope and a future, lives are being changed.
